Reward at just the right time

Once you find out what your dog likes (by like we mean anything that gets your dogs undivided attention) you have to use that to your advantage to encourage positive behavior while discouraging any negative tendencies your dog might have. It’s vital you reward your dog instantaneously when you ask your dog to do something and it does it satisfactorily well. By doing this your dog would associate the positive behavior with the reward it received for completing the desired action expected of it. It’s equally important that you don’t spoil your dog with treats even when it doesn’t do what’s expected of it, doing this would invalidate all your previous efforts.
